Good to know
- The Eagle's Nest is usually open from mid-May to late October, depending on snow and weather; if it is closed you receive a full refund or can visit an alternative such as Berchtesgaden or the Salt Mine. Königssee boats run all year.
- The Eagle's Nest is closed in winter and reopens on 15 May 2027.
- Bring your passport or EU ID card: the tour crosses into Germany.
- The Eagle's Nest bus and the Königssee boat are shared with other visitors.
- Wear comfortable shoes and bring a warm layer; the summit is much colder than the valley.
- If the boat to St. Bartholomä cannot run (for example because of ice or storms), you receive a full refund, or you can keep the tour with a walk along the shore.
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time.
