We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains which data we process when you visit this website or send us a booking request, why, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG).

1. Who is responsible

2. Visiting this website

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. When you open a page, the server automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, date and time, the page requested and your browser type, to deliver the page and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These server logs are deleted after a short period. We do not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and fonts are served from our own server.

3. Booking requests

When you send a booking request we process the details you enter (tour, date, start time, number of guests, name, email address, phone number, pickup address and your message) to check availability, answer you and carry out the tour (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The request is stored in our database hosted by Supabase Inc. We also store a one-way hash of your IP address for at most one day to prevent abuse; it does not allow us to identify you. Booking data is kept as long as needed for the tour and for statutory retention periods for accounting (generally seven years in Austria).

When a request arrives we receive a notification on our phones. This notification contains only the tour, date, number of guests and a reference number, no personal data.

4. WhatsApp, email and phone

If you contact us by WhatsApp, email or phone, we process your message and contact details to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. (Meta); please see WhatsApp's own privacy policy. You are free to choose email or phone instead.

5. Recipients

We share your data only with the service providers named above, who process it on our behalf, and with partners only where needed to carry out your tour (for example a guide who accompanies you). Some providers are based in the USA; transfers are based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing. Write to bookings@alpinetourssalzburg.com. You can also complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at).
