Overview

After three hours of free time in Hallstatt, ride the Dachstein Krippenstein cable car and walk out to the 5 Fingers, a viewing platform high above Lake Hallstatt. Then spend an hour at Gosausee beneath the Dachstein massif, and on the way home walk through the Lammerklamm gorge with your guide.

Good to know

• The Krippenstein cable car is closed from 2 November to 18 December 2026, so the tour is not offered then. The Lammerklamm gorge is open from April to 26 October 2026 (and again from April 2027); outside the season it is replaced by another scenic stop.
• The Krippenstein cable car to the 5 Fingers is closed from 2 November to 18 December.
• The 5 Fingers walk is moderate and depends on the cable car, weather and snow; if it cannot be reached, you receive a full refund.
• The Lammerklamm walk has stairs and uneven wooden walkways.
• Bring warm, weather-appropriate clothing for the mountain.
• Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time.
