Overview
On the way, stop for photos of Hohenwerfen Castle above the Salzach valley, then walk through Hellbrunn Palace Park to the Sound of Music gazebo and visit Mirabell Gardens with the Pegasus fountain and the Do-Re-Mi steps. Your guide then leads you through the UNESCO-listed Old Town, from Getreidegasse and Mozart's Birthplace to the Cathedral, Residenzplatz and Mozartplatz, followed by two hours of free time for lunch, shopping or the fortress.

- Hellbrunn trick fountains run from April to early November; in winter you walk in the park and see the gazebo. The Christmas markets run from late November to the end of December.
